An extraordinary program was held for clients of the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation “Hesed Besht” on the eve of the Passover holiday. It was intended for people who receive the innovative service “Intellectual Patronage”. Club host Oleksandra Baeva and social rehabilitation manager Alla Klopotyuk prepared an exciting quest, which was held at the “Thia” Community Center.

Almost two dozen clients of the Foundation took part in the quest. The "Intellectual Patronage" program is designed to help people deprived of attention and communication to realize their needs for communication and self-development. These are people who do not live below the poverty line, but due to life circumstances do not have a family, children, relatives or good friends. Thus, the intellectual patronage club partially compensates for such shortcomings.

Every year we remember traditions, study books and learn something new in the rich Jewish cultural tradition. Also, every year the employees of the Hesed Besht Children's Foundation think about new forms of working with clients to make it effective and interesting for people. Quests are well known to the younger generation, but this word is not always clear to older people. The Pesach quest revealed all the richness of this technique to clients, and we will give many exciting moments.

The Thiya Community Center became the stage where the events of the quest were played out, and the organization’s employees were retrained for a while as madrichs. There were six thematic stations for participants: “We Live Happily Together,” “People of the Book,” “Mishpaha,” “From Seven Forty to Hava Nagila,” “Colors of the Rainbow,” and “Grandma’s Recipes.” At each of them, participants were offered a small activity – from learning a song to discussing wisdom. For each station, people received one sixth of the Kiara puzzle, which ultimately added up to one complete Easter Kiara.

The only concern the organizers had was the participants' fatigue. However, the clients demonstrated unprecedented resilience, fueled by curiosity and inspiration from the methodology. This pleased both the Foundation's employees and the quest participants themselves.

The same procedure was also passed by people who are in close contact with clients – the Foundation’s patronage workers. The quest replaced the traditional patronage gathering on Monday, which provided vigor for the entire festive week.

Taking this opportunity, we congratulate everyone on the upcoming holiday – Hag Pesach Sameach!
