The development of volunteering is one of the important areas of work of the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation “Hesed Besht”. In 2015, a new structure emerged on the basis of the organization – the center of the All-Ukrainian Volunteer Network "Community", which is supported by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee "Joint" and "Hillel". On May 25, the head of the cell, Viacheslav Nagnybida, took part in a joint project with Khmelnytskyi Regional Library for Youth on the occasion of the opening of the Volunteer School.
Khmelnytskyi Regional Library for Youth is a social partner of the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" under a partnership agreement that was signed between the institutions several years ago. The leadership's desire to promote volunteer activities deserves the highest praise, because a sincere desire to multiply good deeds is always highly moral. The institution has an excellent material base and unique resources, so the development of the volunteer movement promises to be fruitful.
The all-Ukrainian volunteer network “Community” in Khmelnytskyi has already had more than a year of productive activity in the region. In 2015, two Volunteer Schools were successfully held at the “Thia” Community Center, which prepared more than a hundred volunteers for difficult socially useful activities. Sharing experience or methods for “Community” is always a favorite thing, because only together with other volunteers will general progress in society become possible.
The presentation of the School of Volunteers was attended by students of the Khmelnytskyi Basic Medical College. Library staff presented the idea of creating the School and its activities. In particular, Iryna Mishchenko spoke about the urgent need to spread the library resource to the masses so that more citizens could join the powerful array of knowledge and information accumulated by library funds. Vyacheslav Nagnybida held an interactive conversation with the guests, during which the young people figured out who this real volunteer is. It is nice that the students immediately took the initiative and actively joined the conversation.
Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" and the All-Ukrainian Volunteer Network "Community" welcome the initiatives of other, and especially partner, organizations on the path to multiplying good deeds. In such cases, we are always ready to lend a friendly shoulder and develop a tolerant civil society!
