Participants and organizers of the chess tournament

An open chess tournament for the Foundation’s clients was held at the Thiya Community Center, with no age restrictions. This means that both children and people of middle and “golden” age gathered at the checkered boards to peacefully compete for the title of the best community chess player. It is worth noting that, regardless of age, the fight was such that no one even thought of giving in to their opponents and held on almost to the last piece on the field. This proves once again that chess is an extremely Jewish sport.

The hours of the exhausting tournament passed and the results of the struggle began to emerge. The first places, of which there were two at once, were won by people of respectable age. Two Boriss, namely Shlain and Khramtsov, became the undisputed winners. The second places, however, were taken by the youngest participants Dima Grippa and Sasha Kravchenko. All participants received commemorative certificates and encouraging souvenirs - branded notebooks for noting important moves both in chess and in other matters.
