Client meetings at the beginning of the calendar year are a traditional practice for the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation “Hesed Besht”. Such events are personally conducted by the Director of the organization, Honored Worker of Social Sphere of Ukraine Ihor Ratushny. In less than a week in 2018, the meetings were attended by moretwo hundred representatives of the families of our fund's clients. Since it is impossible to meet with everyone, the presence of at least one representative from a family is already a good indicator in terms of information dissemination. At the beginning of the week, the Midrash Cafe at the Social Assistance Center, where the meeting was held, was visited mainly by elderly people; at the end - by young parents and even teenagers.
Igor Oleksandrovych spoke about the Foundation's work last year and shared plans for the future. He explained to the recipients the specifics of the policy of our main benefactor - the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee "Joint" and the criteria for assistance from other sponsors. The head of the organization answered clients' questions, explained procedural issues, etc.
One of the features of such gatherings is the cultivation of new ideas, identification of potential needs and joint reflections of clients and employees of the Hesed Besht Charity Fund on how to implement plans. In combination with familiarizing clients with the material and technical base of the Social Assistance Center and promising ideas for implementing useful programs, this worked extremely fruitfully. We hope that in the near future we will receive a large list of new programs useful for the community and the public.
