On June 5, the Thiya Community Center held a meeting-action for Children's Day - "Healthy Mom - Healthy Family", in which members of the Beiteinu children's program and members of the family club in the amount of 13 people took part. These were young mothers with children. In the spacious hall of the Community Center, Iryna Gerasimenyuk spoke about the Kesher Project, the organization's mission, goals and programs, and the Kesher Project volunteer, Olga Nikitina, showed those present a video - a clip about a healthy lifestyle, about women's attitude to their health. All the women present were given brochures "My Health Route".
Our moms were confused by the task given by the moderator of the meeting, Olga Nikitina. She handed out a bright, large balloon to each mom and made them burst it, first describing its attractiveness, size, shape, color, etc. out loud.
Of course, after the ball lost all its beauty, it no longer seemed so attractive and beautiful, it simply became fragments of a once whole and complete creation. With the help of such an allegory, Olga presented the health of every woman, because it is as fragile and delicate as this ball. One of the participants, mother Lyudmila, immediately expressed her opinion, said that until today she had not even thought about such an important value as herself, about health, which is not eternal and about the fact that she has small children who need a healthy, living Mom.
Also at the meeting, women were introduced to disappointing statistics, diseases, and the main causes of women's vulnerability to aggressive environments.
As a more positive exercise, the participants were presented with a cartoon about the life of a woman, in which every mother recognized herself and her daily exploits in the name of the family.
We know that our women are smart and want a better life for themselves and their loved ones, and we hope that they understand that by relying on the Kesher Project, their sisters, and their own consciousness, they will definitely achieve this!
