The whole world supports Ukraine in its ardent desire to protect its homeland from the enemy invasion. Today we received painful, yet touching news from the children of the Jewish community in Laurel, Maryland (USA). They congratulate us on the holiday of Passover and sincerely wish us peace.
Here is what Rabbi Rebecca Gould, whose ancestors hail from the Ukrainian city of Odesa, wrote to us in this letter: “May you be inspired by the heartfelt message from our children. And may you have the courage to celebrate the Passover Seder with a sense of freedom! We send you “chazak” – a blessing for strength, so that every member of your community may be strengthened. All the best to you in these most difficult times.”
