THERE IS PREVENTION – LESS DISEASES
The global Jewish women's organization "Project Kesher" implements
in 10 cities of Ukraine. Khmelnytskyi is one of the key cities for its implementation. The project is aimed at forming a progressive public view on the issues of psychological and physical health of women of all age groups.
A roundtable discussion on this topic was held at the Khmelnytsky Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht". It was conducted by the project coordinators Iryna Gerasimenyuk and Natalia Gerasimenko. The goal of the roundtable is to unite the efforts of the medical community, public organizations and the media to expand the opportunities for Ukrainian women to receive advisory assistance regarding maintaining their health. As part of the project, health days will be held at the Khmelnytsky Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" Social Assistance Center with various events, and doctors of all specializations will be involved for broad educational work.

It is worth noting that almost all invited doctors gathered at the round table. This indicates the great interest of the medical community in conducting mass preventive work. Their vision of the role and necessity of preventive and consulting work was expressed by the head of the regional center for family planning, obstetrician-gynecologist of the highest category Olga Pukhlyakova, deputy chief physician of the oncology clinic Tetyana Zakryzhevska, chief physician of the city perinatal center Andriy Ropotan, head of the surgical department of the Khmelnytskyi oncology clinic Igor Drobner, practicing psychologist Olena Rudakova, pediatric gynecologist Natalia Ovcharuk, general practitioners of family medicine and other specialists.
The intentions are good. And they will definitely be implemented, because in our gloomy realities, when the healthcare reform provides for the introduction of paid medical services, and there are no funds for treatment, there is a huge demand from the population to preserve their health, and therefore - a demand for educational activities in this area.
