Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation “Hesed Besht” gladly organizes days of visits to its structural units for other organizations to exchange experience. It is extremely pleasant when employees of government bodies – structures with which non-governmental organizations always cooperate most closely – come to such days. In April, at the Community Center “Thia” employees of the Department of Culture visited, and in July, employees of the Department of Social Policy of the Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration visited us.
Unfortunately, not all employees of the large Department were able to come: there are many jobs at the state institution and the possibilities of the Community Center "Thia" are not limitless. Those who were lucky enough to come experienced the hospitality of our warm Jewish home, visited the museum and social programs, and visited the rehabilitation center "School of Health" in the village of Pecheski.
“It is better to see once than hear a hundred times,” says the proverb, and it is true. The Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation “Hesed Besht” together with the Department carries out numerous social projects, fulfills state social orders. Most employees know about the Foundation from reports and documents, but only a few have seen our activities with their own eyes. It was a great opportunity for teams that had previously only met in absentia to get to know each other.
Acquaintance with the Hesed Besht Community Foundation began with the museum programs of the Community Center. Public Relations Manager Lyudmila Shvartsman conducted a tour for the guests. In the conference hall, video clips created in the New Look studio were demonstrated for visitors, which covered the Foundation's activities from different angles. This includes social work, cultural integration, and the creation of social advertising. Computer literacy course instructor Vyacheslav Nagnybida spoke about the features of teaching socially vulnerable segments of the population from the global organization Project Kesher. Visitors could also see children's programs in action and even attend a rehearsal of the Hip-Hop group, which is currently taking place as part of the Keitan holiday program.
After getting acquainted with the Community Centers, people went out of town to the RC "School of Health". Here, the manager of the Health Center, Natalia Gerasimenko, held an interesting musical lounge with them and told about the unknown facts of the work of Jewish composers. In general, the employees of the Department felt the effect of the relaxing program, which is applied to our clients and people who come to Pecheski under the programs of fulfilling social orders. This allowed them to make sure that the special methods that have been implemented in the Foundation for many years really have a wonderful effect. And in combination with the beautiful natural conditions of the "School of Health" - they also have the ability to improve health.
The Open Day was a great opportunity for some to show themselves, and for others to relax and see with their own eyes the work of a modern social organization.
