Preserving the memory of past generations is an important part of any community’s life. That is why the volunteer initiative to clean up the Jewish cemetery became not just a good deed, but a true expression of respect, unity, and responsibility. Volunteers and members of our community in Kamianets-Podilskyi organized just such an important event.
Jewish cemeteries are not just burial sites, but living history. Ancient matzevot preserve the names, fates, and traditions of the people who built the community many years ago. Over time, such places require care: trash, fallen leaves, and branches accumulate, and the natural order breaks down.
That is why regular cleaning is extremely important—it helps to:
