We saw the future

[huge_it_slider id=”25″] Employees of the Hesed Besht Charitable Foundation visited the construction site of the Regional Center for Social Development, where they were able to get acquainted with future workplaces. It’s hard to believe, but very soon the bare walls here will turn into offices and rooms where people will work and where needy clients will come! Our employees could dream a little and imagine what their working […]

A young researcher of Jewish literature

One of our outstanding compatriots who left a significant contribution to the literary heritage was the Jewish poet and writer Perets Davidovich Markish. Now in his native Polonnoye there is a small museum, where representatives of the Polonnoye community often gather. The artist's work deserves attention and popularization, so the interest in it of the young researcher Maksym Gurny caused undisguised joy.

Let's remember...

Today marks the 75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy. A delegation from the Hesed Besht KhBF will participate in the commemoration of the victims of the fascist genocide in Kyiv. Over the past two weeks, the traveling exhibition “Holocaust and Memory” has visited schools in most district centers of the Khmelnytskyi region with Lessons of Memory. We mourn with the whole world for the innocent souls who were murdered.

Ternopil. Our sports achievements

"Chicks are counted in autumn," says folk wisdom. And in the fall, we decided to summarize the sports achievements of our clients and count the medals, awards and cups. Among the others, two stories turned out to be the most touching.

75 years of the tragedy in Staraya Sinyava

Today is another black date in the history of the Jewish community of the region. Seventy-five years ago, about five hundred local Jews were shot in the pit of an unfinished pillbox north of the Stara Synyava steelworks. Those who managed to escape met their fate on July 23, 1942 in Starokostyantyniv. Once again, in the summer of 1943, a second shooting took place at the site of the first shooting, […]

Bloody milestones in the history of Proskurov. Pogrom of 1919. L. Kilimnyk

(Jewish proverb) In the school photo, my classmate Oleg Kachurovsky (second from the left in the second row from the top) is no different from us, only he is taller and looks much more serious. In the eighth grade, Oleg already had the highest ranks in chess and athletics. While studying in Kyiv […]
