Concert of Jewish melodies

Jewish music always awakens a special, uplifting mood in listeners. It is full of sensitivity and seems to flow not from musical instruments, but from the sincere heart of each performer. This was exactly what happened at the concert by our Polish friends, which took place in the City House of Culture.

Anniversary of the “Bloody Bath”…

On February 15-16, 1919, the small town of Proskuriv in Podillia was shaken by a terrible pogrom that claimed the lives of at least 1,600 of our compatriots, and not only of Jewish nationality. The Jewish pogrom was called the "Bloody Bath" and its echoes are felt even now on many continents, as many Jews whose families suffered in those days emigrated for fear of new pogroms. For 97 […]

Once upon a time, the town of Derazhnya was a powerful Jewish center with a developed infrastructure. Time and circumstances made their adjustments, and the historical events of the 20th century almost completely ceased the existence of the community. The Jews who remained in Derazhnya receive assistance from the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht", which is represented here by curator Oleksandr Voloshyn. However, the memory of former countrymen is preserved not only by the Jewish […]

The Ternopil Community Center constantly hosts an exhibition dedicated to those terrible […]
